Able & Willing - a fantastic local social enterprise

Able & Willing is the only Supported Business in Brighton and Hove.

The term “Supported Business” means that at least 50 per cent of staff have a disability: at Able & Willing this is the case for approximately 90 per cent of the staff.

The company’s core values include fairness, equality and inclusion.

Commitment to such values mean that Able & Willing takes on staff who otherwise would never experience the dignity of work that many take for granted.

As a result, Able & Willing has a hugely positive impact on the lives of many of their staff, who’ve improved in skills and confidence and taken steps towards mainstream employment.

Today I had the opportunity to see the work they do first-hand, and was incredibly impressed by what I saw - both the brilliant quality of what they produce, and the supportive team around them.

With embroidery, printing and assembly services on offer, the company has a wide range of skills under one roof and I’d definitely encourage a look at their website - www.ableandwilling.org.uk
