Letter to Tobias Ellwood MP: Arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the Yemen conflict

Date: 26th June 2016

Dear Tobias,

Arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the Yemen conflict

I am writing about the above issue, as I wanted to inform you of the continued strength of feeling that exists amongst my constituents regarding UK arms sales to Saudi Arabia. Constituents are regularly getting in touch with me on this issue and I very much share their concerns, as you will know from previous exchanges in the House and Parliamentary Questions.

In addition, I also wanted to ask for your response to the specific points raised in this report by the Campaign Against the Arms Trade: https://www.caat.org.uk/campaigns/stop-arming-saudi/a-shameful-relationship.pdf

In the context of the clear call from the Business (BEIS) and for International Development Committees for UK arms sales to Saudi to stop, I urge you to urgently respond to that call, and to stop UK arms sales to Saudi Arabia.

Yours sincerely,
