My thoughts are with all of those affected by the attacks in Manchester. Families have been left grieving by this appalling act of terror, targeted at young people.

On days like this we are reminded of the incredible work of our emergency services, who worked through the night to help those in need and reassure the public. As ever they have done us proud.

The people of Manchester responded with love, solidarity and openness – and in the coming days and weeks we'll follow their example and show we won't let terrorism tear us apart.
