Meet Lizzie Deane, Green Party candidate for the city centre Brighton district of St Peters & North Laine.

There's an election following former Green councillor Keith Taylor's resignation of his seat to take up his new role as a Member of the European Parliament for the Southeast. 

Polling day will be Thursday 8 July.

FIGHTING FOR FAIRNESS: Lizzie is the Green Party candidate to succeed Keith. She's a freelance media consultant working in local government and lives in central Brighton.

Lizzie understands the good things as well as some of the challenges living in the centre of town!


About Lizzie

Lizzie is Vice-Chair and a founding member of the St Nicholas Church Green Spaces Association, which was set up by local residents to encourage greater use of the three green spaces around the church and to reduce anti-social behaviour.

The association was instrumental in winning £67,000 for new play equipment.

Lizzie has been involved with the West Hill Local Action Team since it was set up a few months ago, and she regularly attends North Laine Community Association meetings and writes for the association's magazine, The Runner.
