Investing in jobs - backing Brighton's creative industries
We don't think it's fair that unemployment has rocketed when so much vital work needs to be done.
As an MP Caroline is campaigning hard for policies that will create thousands of new jobs in the city.
Greens are promoting improvements in public transport and free insulation in every home which besides saving each household around £150 a year in fuel bills would also create thousands of new local jobs.
Caroline and the Greens are also pushing for a ‘Living Wage' - a policy to ensure low-income workers earn enough to provide for themselves and their families - and campaign for tighter controls over high pay.
• Most recently Caroline has campaigned to protect local jobs in the wake of a string of redundancies that have hit the city.
• Caroline has also vigorously defended local shops and communities from the increasing number of chain stores and supermarkets which are spreading throughout the city.
