Greens think it's unfair that people who have worked hard all their lives are eventually denied the pension they were promised, leaving many facing poverty and hardship.
Now Caroline's elected to Parliament, she will fight for a fair deal for older people. That means a decent basic pension for all of £170 a week - and free care and support for older people living independently at home, in sheltered or extra-care housing or in residential care.
Greens in Parliament will also fight for a fair deal for those working in social care. That means raising the pay and training of professionals, while recognising and supporting the valuable role played by all carers.
